I recently re installed XP on my home PC.

I have a “toolkit” CD that has all my useful software tools, and I usually make it using lightscribe CDs

Well, no amount of installing and reinstall nero 6 and nero 7 would get it to work correctly. I even downloaded and installed the lightscribe service.

But coverdesigner just behaved as if there was no lightscribe drive available.

I went to the nero site, and tried all of their troubleshooting tips.

I did find a few forums that mentioned that the problem was with the license code.

Of course, I had the “bad” code. Someone suggested getting a “good” hacked code. I tried, but there doesn’t seem to be any good codes.

As a last resort, I tried nero 8, and that finally worked!

But I must say that nero 8 is not as easy to use as nero 7 (which, in turn, was worse than nero 6!).

If they keep going like this, I’ll probably switch to using different CD/DVD burning software… there seems to be lots to choose from.
